   About Twenty Twenty Vision
Hello, I'm Adrian. The Wonderfully Titled EP is my debut CD. Over the past few months, some tracks were playlisted in Hilfiger, O'Neill, and Billabong stores amongst others and you might still hear a track or two in a Costa Coffee or a Hugo Boss if you're out and about. If you do hear one of the songs, you must dance around in a very twee way whilst finding the nearest striped piece of clothing you can - don't do this in Costa Coffee since it's likely to be on someone at the time and you'll probably be escorted from the premises. Feel free to add me or message me - thanks for listening. x

BBC review

Without a doubt, Twenty Twenty Vision's promo CD is the finest to settle down on this desk for a while. "In You I Hide" is an achingly superb piece of songwriting, ghosting subtle vocals in amongst a tune that's so simple, it's utterly gorgeous, glowing with an aural aura that makes you want to weep and grin at once. The other three tracks, "Hole In My Heart", "Complication", and "Adequately Marvellous" are equally stunning. The only question the tracks bring up is why Adrian Lomas is still unsigned. If this is what he can do alone, imagine what a bit of money behind him would produce!

BBC live review

Adrian Lomas, aka Twenty Twenty Vision, is quite simply indescribable in this limited space but here goes: dreamy afterthought vocals led by a beautifully picked guitar on a bed of light drums and bass that groove in the most subtle way possible. Lomas is like an undiscovered Badly Drawn Boy with fantastic potential to go beyond the inoffensive, indescript and jangly guitars spectrum. As his song says, Adequately Marvellous.

ManchesterMusic.co.uk review

Insightful, tender and packed with melody. Lomas has a voice that refuses to bellow, yet contains more power than even the most hardened of rock singers. The songs are delivered in a perfect balance of harmony, accuracy and sensitivity. The emotional values are never lost or overblown.

"In You I Hide" is one of the best modern folk songs to come out of Manchester this year. “Complication” is a slice of breezy pop, excellent song writing and a real understanding of 80’s pop. Underneath all of this is a respect for the values of folk and Mancunian / urban landscapes. “Adequately Marvellous” is classic TTV, losing none of its relevancy or effect on another run out. “So Secretly” is just full of possible options for arrangements, recording or otherwise.

On the folk / acoustic scene just a few names get touted in the more fickle news columns and glossy locals. Lomas and Twenty Twenty Vision so far, have the tunes and the perfect voice which, for me, is far trendier and then some.

MMMMM (5/5)

Losing Today Magazine review

This is such a beautiful record. Twenty Twenty Vision yearn for the days when frail lovesick records ruled the airwaves of late night radio where it would serve as refuge for bands like the Field Mice and the Orchids to softly lull and comfort broken hearts. Three tracks here that are so timid and gentle that you just want to throw a protective arm around them and whisper re-assurances, a perfect harvest of fragile melodies shivering and shimmering in their own shy nature to dipping dozily amid the lilting sounds of the Pale Fountains, Go Betweens and early Belle and Sebastian. If you love perkily cascading spring time jangling chords all sensitively delivered then this is for you both ‘Adequately Marvellous’ and ‘In you I hide’ are things to rekindle hope in perfect song writing yet the jewel in the crown is the dreamily spun ‘Complication’ swooning prickly pop of the highest order just what the word pristine was thought up for.

Angry Ape review

Twenty Twenty Vision is the brain-child of Stockport singer-songwriter Adrian Lomas, a man who in recent times, has recieved his fair share of glowing criticism from this 4-track debut; the 'Wonderfully Titled EP'. A self-penned release, which has also resulted in a recent support slot for 4AD's Mountain Goats.

Where demo CD's are usually sketchy, loosely placed ideas, that lack the valuable knowledge of a studio producer, Twenty Twenty Vision's polished, streamlined approach to song arrangements and production values, is an embarassment to his unsigned peers.

Lyrically, it's a heartfelt collection and behind Lomas' hushed vocals, which owe a nod or two, to the fey whisper of Weevil's vocalist, or dare say it, Belle & Sebastian's Stuart Murdoch, lies a woozy penchant for dreamy indie and serene beauty. It's hardly uneasy listening, especially when composing with the basic set-up of acoustic guitars, bass and drums. Although such an approach would suggest pastures often ventured, there's no blatant display of sounding like anyone before him.

An utterly charming showcase, which implies a fruitful future for Twenty Twenty Vision.

Gigwise review

The brainchild of Adrian Lomas, musically this is a pleasant experience, the vocals are purely subtle, the songwriting top notch and it's no surprise this has received airplay from the likes of Terry Christian. Excellent stuff, wonderfully produced and beautifully arranged.

Piccadilly Records

This is great! Five tracks of understated indie-pop, with clever songs, pretty melodies and a hint of Elliott Smith style melancholy. Twenty Twenty Vision is Stockport singer songwriter Adrian Lomas, and if this release is anything to go by, he's set for big things.
